Contingent Cargo something a Freight Broker needs

Contingent Cargo

A large chunk of the commercial trucking business comprises of freight carriers. The FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) has made it compulsory for all freight carriers to have proof of cargo insurance. Contingent cargo insurance is usually carried by freight brokerage firms for this purpose. If there is anything untoward that happens to the cargo in transit, this insurance covers it, saving you from paying for the losses. Having contingent cargo insurance gives you a competitive edge over other similar businesses.
