You should start with a script. Learn it and then lose it.
2. Practice in front of a Mirror:
After you get used to the script, practice in front of a mirror until you feel confident.
3. Record yourself:
Pretend you are calling a prospect and record your conversation. Play it back each time and listen carefully to how you sound. Try to pinpoint any weak areas of your conversation. Keep repeating this process until you feel confident enough to practice with a live person.
4. Practice Live:
Find a friend. Pretend that they are your prospect and let them give you any feed back as to how you are coming across on the phone. Keep repeating this step with more than one person if possible. Keep doing this until they give you the thumbs up.

5. Forget Money:
Have you ever wondered why the top earners keep making the big money? It's because of this step. Take money right out of the equation. Focus on finding out if you can actually solve people's problems.
6. Qualify Your Prospect:
During the first few minutes of your conversation, qualify your prospect for your time. Ask them questions to determine if what your business has to offer is a match to what they are looking for.
7. Don't be Desperate:
Have patience and do not be desperate for a sale. Being desperate will push your prospect away from you. Be confident and focus on helping others. If you take the focus off of you and place it on them, they will feel.
Mastering the art of prospecting is one of the greatest skills that you can learn in the business industry. Be patient with yourself and have a long term plan for your business. Having a long term plan with your business tells your subconscious mind that you are playing to win.
